HATHA YOGA
Translated from the Indian Sanskrit 'Ha' means sun and 'tha' means
moon this refers to the balance of male/female, day/night, positive/negative,
Yin and Yang. The primary objective is to balance the left and right currents
in the body. When this concept is applied we bring the two sides of the body
into a state of balance. Hatha Yoga works through the mastering of body
positions (Asana's) and breathing techniques (Pranayama,) it promotes vibrant
health and taps into the body's energy charkas. Practice creates a love within
and increases the desire to practice. Yoga gives the practitioner a tool
to work with in daily life.
Experience it yourself and know the truth.
BENEFITS OF YOGA
* Brings harmony and balance to mind and body
* Relieves stress, promotes relaxation
* Develops flexibility, strength and stamina
* Improves health and well-being
Through yoga, one can experience the affects of improved inner health and
vitality almost immediately. Yoga Asana's are arranged in scientific manner,
so progression through them builds students on all levels. "Asana" translated
is posture/position , a state of being in
which one can remain physically/mentally, steady, calm, quiet and comfortable.
Asana practice works similar to acupuncture in that they purify and strengthen the
nadis, opening psychic energy channels and developing body and mind control. Also
strengthening the nervous system by working deep on inner organs; harmonise mind
and body, whilst stress, stiffness and disease is released and prevented. Most
also enjoy increased concentration and ability to get tasks done. One could
dissect and analyse Asana practise but most find answers through experience as
the mind becomes clearer and stronger.
