This program will improve your own personal practice. Give you the confidence and qulaifation to start teaching Vinyasa yoga classes in studios and retreat centers worldwide
The Yoga Retreat is located in the Jungle, North west of Koh Phangan island a short walk or drive away from beautiful white sandy beaches, waterfalls, temples, jungle hikes, snorkeling and diving
AIM OF TEACHER TRAINING COURSE
To create a high standard of confident Yoga teachers
At the end of the course you will have all the tools to design your own classes, courses, programs
Know when to modify postures to suit individuals
Able to give clear confident verbal and hands on adjustments when needed
The course will be assessed continuously using self feedback and trainer feedback
Students will be constantly mentored throughout the course and given advice
DURING THE 28 DAYS YOU WILL LEARN
Yoga philosophy, take daily asana classes in vinyasa sequencing – movement with breath
Anatomy, alignment, verbal & hands on adjustments with modifications for injury-free classes
Practice teaching in small groups and one on one
Roles of a teacher and healer, to teach intuitively, safely and with self care

TEACHERS
Teresa Kennard founder of the Yoga Retreat Koh Phangan will be your main teacher.
Teresa comes from a background of performing arts; she trained at Laban Center of Movement and Dance in London; UK gaining an extensive knowledge in teaching, choreography, dance, yoga and pilates. She completed a 200 hr traditional Hatha Yoga YTT with BSYA and a 500 Hr Advanced Ashtanga Vinyasa with IIYA Yoga Alliance. Through deepening her own personal yoga practice in Mysore India, Teresa has discovered her passion for Teaching others how to teach. Teresa is also a Master and Teacher in the study of Reiki Seichem in the Tera-Mai system of Natural Healing.

MAX will be teaching the Anatomy and Pranayama study
Max is from France. He has been practicing yoga since 2005 and teaching since 2009.
He is passionate about functional anatomy in general and more specifically about therapeutic applications of yoga practice.
Max holds a Masters in science of sports and physical activities in the field of therapeutic applications of physical practice with a major in physiology. He is authorized to intervene in health sector and medico-social and medico in motor, sensory, mental and social disability. His graduation thesis was on the effects of different controlled breathing techniques (pranayama) on metabolic and cardio-respiratory activity.
Max completed 500hr Advanced Ashtanga Vinyasa teacher training in 2009

KES will be teaching Sutra chanting, Philosophy, hands on adjustments
Kes found the land on Koh Phangan in 2000 and helped build the Yoga retreat with his own hands.
After many years of dedicated study with his teacher R.Sharath Jois, Kes received authorisation level 1 to pass on Ashtanga yoga in 2016. Through his committed self practice, Kes has been able to further develop his passion for teaching and Sutra chanting, allowing him to live true to the yoga philosophy and to be able to bring this knowledge to The Yoga Retreat. Kes has built a steady and ever growing following due to his life changing adjustments, he is able to help students learn great discipline and deepen their own practice; this devotion is expressed on and off the mat, with Kes being on hand at the retreat to ensure students are able to sustain a daily practice once they have left the retreat and offering his support along the way. .
